Uninstalling BlubsterClick on the "Start" button. The "Start" button is typically located at the bottom left hand side of the screen.
Select Settings. This will cause a popup menu to come out. Then select Control Panel.
When the Control Panel opens you will have an icon for "Add/Remove Programs".
Double-click that icon.
The "Add/Remove Programs Properties" windows will appear displaying a list of all the currently installed programs.
Locate Blubster on the list, and click on it. If you are running Windows 95 or 98, click on the button that says Add/Remove - if you are running 2000 or XP click on the button that says Change/Remove. This will begin the uninstall process.
If you do not see Blubster on the list don't worry. Many of the earlier versions did not require you to install them they would just run independently as a standalone program. If this is the case, click on the Start Button then select Search, and finally select Files and Folders. If you are using Windows XP select the All Files and Folders option next. A dialog box will now be available to you to enter the information to search for. For the name, enter Blubster. Leave the containing text option blank. Lastly use the drop down to tell the search program to look in "Local Hard Drives". Once you have done that press search and await the list to complete. Right click on files or directory that were found and select delete.
NOTE: If you delete a directory called Blubster that contains Blubster.exe that search result will also be removed from the results list. So don't worry if you see something that just disappears from the list.
Blubster may also contain what is known as Spyware or Adware. To help assure all of these malicious components are removed from your system several free applications are available for download.
