AOL® Instant Messenger™ (AIM) allows users to communicate instantly and globally, through text messaging, to other AIM users ("buddies") around the world who are also using AIM clients.

AIM Express™

AIM Express™ is a DHTML version of AIM which runs in a Web browser for users who cannot (or do not wish to) install AIM but AIM Express does not support many of AIM‘s features, such as audio chat, or video conferencing.
