Why would a privacy lawyer and advocate and an Internet safety and help group oppose the application of a law designed to protect copyright owners? It's not about condoning piracy. It's about protecting privacy and safety of everyone online. No one knows better than Parry and her volunteers at WiredSafety.org that many people abuse the Internet and its users. Cyberstalkings and sexual predators, although not the norm, exist online.
