Let them eat cake

Hey, it was the last day of school today - my kids broke up for the holidays at 2:30 this afternoon!

I went to collect my lovely daughter and, she passed me a bundle. It was a slab of chocolate cake, carefully wrapped in tissue which she had saved from her school Christmas party

I munched it on the way home, delighted that she had thought about me and touched that she had saved her slice of chocolate cake for me.

Later, over dinner, my two kids were telling me about their days.

My daughter was relating the tale of how the naughtiest boy in the class had asked her to play a game with him...

"But I wouldn't, I went out to the cloakroom earlier and when I came back he was laughing and my cake was on the floor..."

"Which cake" I inquired, somewhat nervously and with growing suspicion.

"My cake" came the reply.

"Not the chocolate cake I just ate earlier?"

Innocence herself replied "Yes, but I dusted it off..."

Have you got any idea of the type of stuff likely to have adhered itself to a piece of cake that had been tossed to the floor by the naughtiest boy in the class and furthermore, what the naughtiest boy in the class may have done to that cake whilst no-one else was looking!!?

I'll be lucky if I'm not in hospital for Christmas!
